Well done on the rescue and welcome to the wonderful world of buns :o)

I would take the bun to the vet for a thorough check. The sneezing and runny nose sounds a little suspicious and it might be worth checking out, especially since the poor little guy has been fending for himself.

To help keep him cool you could also try freezing some plastic drink bottles. Wrap one in a towel and place it in the cage with him. He'll soon work out what it's for.

I would try some gentle introductions with the dog and take it from there. Let her sniff the bun through the hutch and get used to the newcomer. I don't think I would leave them unattended together though, just to be sure. Buns startle easily and it would be awful if a friendship was broken because the dog barked suddenly. There are many house buns that live quite happily with other animals, including large dogs. You may find that it's the bun whose boss!
