My granddaughter has been in Internation Miss for 9 years. I have had my ups and downs, she has won and she has lost. However she loves the system and will not even consider leaving. She has poise and confidence and winning is not what she goes for. She goes for the friendships, the love of entertaining she does. If you have the right attitude your child will receive from the pageant system what it is meant for. Confidence, charter building. self esteem and a knowledge of life that things come and go , you win and you lose but by being true to yourself you always win. Yes the girls and the mothers knew they were not to enter "competive pageants",especially the one they entered. I have always liked Doug and still do. I do not blame him for startin his own business. Yes that is what pageants are, a business. I wish he had not allowed the girls who are queens to be in his system this year and maybe we would not be having this split amoung friends. I've been there. It is not a good place to be. Saying that we have no girls in Texas is untruthful. The directors are doing a great job in Texas. Their board is great and the girld seem to be having fun. I wish Doug and all my friends in Texas the best. I will miss you and Doug. Lets drop this and enjoy our differt systems. By the way we have not made the top ten lately, so I am not a winner just promoting my system. Win or lose my granddaughter loves it. Take a lesson from a 10 year old and just have fun. Life is too short and our children will be grown before we know it. Good luck and may God bless allof us.

No replies. Maybe this was what we all needed.
