Hi people,

the decision to use the class funds was not made by an overall consensus of all of us, but rather by a sizable number of us who happened to be there in the honours room. As there most likely will be no other opportunity where we can relatively collectively use the fund, this is a good chance.

An alternative was to redistribute the funds back to the whole class equally. Thus, we shall compromise. For those of you who will not benefit from the BBQ for reasons of your own and would like your portion of the class fund to be returned to you, please let me know and i'll pass you back the money. Currently there are 45 of us and $100 so the amount that any one person is 'entitled' to recieve is around $2.20. Our fellow classmates are going to be spending much much more than #2.20 on the BBQ. Everyone involved is chipping in in their own way.

We're bound to meet each other in the future given the size of singapore. As many of us have not have had a chance to get to know each other, this may serve as the last of a good opportunity to do so. I really do hope everyone will try to make it, the organizers esp jacey is/are putting trememdous effort to set up this BBQ, so lets show her some support :)

We are, despite differences, the sociology honours class of 2001/02 and winning the "honours war" (tan 02) involves more than just studying. :)
