here is the rest of it and some corrected info...real names... where did my brain go?

degenerative joint disease....
is what he was saying about the knees....which is one of the oldest and most common types of arthritis. It is characterized by the breakdown of the joint's cartilage. Cartilage is the part of the joint that cushions the ends of bones. Cartilage breakdown causes bones to rub against each other, causing pain and loss of movement. (he said that it was not good since i am so young and wanted me to get on...)
glucosamine 500mgs 3 times a day... for 2-3 months.....
It has been reported that glucosamine may be involved in the production of cartilage that is important for healthy joints.
chondistin sulfate....
Chondroitin has been used for the alleviation of the symptoms of arthritis.
cmps is chronic myofascial pain syndrome aka mps is myofascial pain syndrome...
which is....... Chronic, body-wide TrPs of long duration, due to the development of secondary and satellite TrPs in a TrP cascade.
FMS and CMPs.....
Interconnecting spiral of fibromyalgia and myofascial pain syndrome. These conditions perpetuate each other and feed on each other, and make treatment difficult.
put me on relafen aka nabumetone....
(HORSE PILLS) 750mg 2 times a day...watching close for allergic reaction..fun fun... will go back on soma... need to find something better for sleeping - i was surprised about that... he is going to tell the doctors here i need to be trying things to find the right combo... okay if you are in maine this is the best doctor... seems tough but he listened and really heard me...he asked me about pain and understood...AWESOME AWESOME guy.... now i wish he was my regular doctor...
xrays.........
next week of knees and legs to find out how bad it is and what we can do now to stop the damage... hyper extended is left and damage to right...funfun...
emg (electromyography)...
-Help diagnose diseases that damage muscle tissue, nerves, or the junctions between nerve and muscle (neuromuscular junctions). These disorders include a herniated disc, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), or myasthenia gravis (MG).
-Evaluate the cause of weakness, paralysis, involuntary muscle twitching, or other symptoms. Problems in a muscle, the nerves supplying a muscle, the spinal cord, or the area of the brain that controls a muscle can all cause these kinds of symptoms....
Nerve conduction studies are done to:
Detect and evaluate damage to the peripheral nervous system (which includes all the nerves that lead away from the brain and spinal cord and the smaller nerves that branch out from those nerves). Nerve conduction studies are often used to help diagnose carpal tunnel syndrome or Guillain-Barré syndrome.
Identify the cause of abnormal sensations, such as numbness, tingling, or pain.
This is the DDS/SSDI doctor and the rheumy are very worried and the rheumy is is ruling out the simple things and is worried it is more... more meaning : Abnormal:
In an EMG, spontaneous electrical activity detected in a muscle at rest suggests that there is a problem with the nerve supply to the muscle. This kind of activity can also be caused by inflammation or disease in the muscle tissue. Abnormal levels and duration of electrical discharges when a muscle contracts also suggest the presence of a muscle or nerve disorder (such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), postpolio syndrome, or a herniated disc).
In nerve conduction studies, the speed of nerve impulse transmission (conduction velocity) may be slower or faster than what is normal for that nerve. Slower conduction speeds may be caused by injury or damage a nerve (such as carpal tunnel syndrome) or group of nerves (such as Guillain-Barré syndrome or postpolio syndrome).
There was more he said about this test... just have to wait to get in... next 6 weeks to 2 months or so...maybe 6 if really full... fun fun.
Well that is it... all i can remember.. the ssdi thing is awesome...and 2 weeks from today i will see the shrink.
Smiles and hugs1!!
Amy=)
I was just so depressed....
the other new things is i am supposed to wear braces on both hands all the time... which i am not doing... need to lose weight and he is helping with that and i might see if the doctors here cant help with that either... and my arms state is not good and wont tell me what he thinks it is... he did say what he did not think it was...was just too much and only 2 people wrote on WebMD and i got a few emails...was hard to hear and needed some up thoughts
Smiles and hugs!!!! Lots of love!!
Amy
