I was in MAG11 MABS11 1st MAW. I was there when the bomb dump blew. It was April of 1969. It started on a Sunday morning and continued until the next day. It started in the big bombs 250lbs and then went through 500 lbs and then hit mortars. The mortars were White Phosphorus and created a firey hell. It was the longest day of my life. You had just a few seconds when you saw a concussion wave coming to get to cover and it happened almost continuosly for 24 hours.
