Dear Nancy,
A mere entry of PTSD in the SEARCH mechanism on the internet will literally result in hundreds of PTSD Resources; therefore, I assume that you are requesting PTSD Resources that WE reccommend.
With that in mind, I provide the following information:
In my opinion, the BEST resource to HELP US deal with PTSD comes from WITHIN Our Own Heart, Soul, & Mind.
Many combat veterans, like myself,TRY to write a little poetry or prose to help ourselves and others deal with PTSD. These writings might help the veteran on those sleepless nights, when he or she needs someone to turn to, because they can trn on the computer and get lost in cyberspace:
Pleading screams
Into cyberspace
To anyone who cares
About a vet with no name or face
**** Many times, it is easier to talk to a stranger ***
Also, these writings can be used to provoke thoughts from the past OR to spark personal interaction during group therapy or individual converstion.
