• Kia shakes her head in surprise as Terra (who had been standing in front of her) dissapeared. She is further surprised to see the large snakes suddenly appear in this realm. The things looked far too large to fight but there had to be something that they could do. Kia steps nearer Guide and askes "How can we help them?" (NT) -- Kia, 17:12:39 03/12/05 Sat
• Ario jumps to his feet at the appearance of the serpents. He looks ready to help but waits for Guide's reply to Kia's question. (NT) -- Ario, 17:13:50 03/12/05 Sat
• Guide does not reply. She is shaking visibly, and seems ready to fall over. She starts to send a message to you, but it is just a jumble of images, all of them either terrifying or painful. There is a hint of darkness and demons, one of betrayal...but no actual message comes through. (NT) -- Fate, 11:56:20 03/15/05 Tue
  • Chaos tries to break free as much as he can. Releasing the blade in his boot (like a spike, typically used for climbing, but I had the dwarves design one for weaponry use) He starts to madly kick at the black bodies. Noticing the change of scenery he gasps out, "Help! These things...I don't understand it, but they can change forms! • Naverin starts to rush to Chaos, also knowing what the snakish things can do. "Keep your minds blocked off; I think they can read thoughts. Also don't get too close in my opinion." Just as Naverin says this, she stops, realising she was going right against her own advice. (NT) -- Naverin, 14:26:54 03/18/05 Fri
• Guide continues to shake, and seems incapable of coherent thought so long as the snakes are nearby. The snakes themselves calm down after a few seconds and pause, still clutching the helpless human. They ignore Kia and Naverin for the moment. A low guttural hiss emerges, at first its just below hearing, but it quickly rises in volume until it is deafening. Surprisingly, everyone merely gets the impression that a question has just been asked. Guide falls to the floor...the floor that is merely a section of sky with gravity, held up by her own magic...Ario would be the first to notice that what once felt as solid as thick glass or ice now feels like slowly sinking sand.   • Naverin begins to be very confused. /what are we supposed to do? The wolves led us here, but should we leave?/ She turns toward the others and hopes that Guide and make a decision. She is willing to stick with it whatever happens, but she is not leading. (NT) -- Naverin, 15:44:58 03/26/05 Sat
  • OOC: I think I beat all of you in slacking off. I blame school and assorted other things like drama and stuff...yesh. Dangit, I hate catching up... BIC: Lialye grimaces, her hands tightening on her staff. The situation's going steadily downhill...lovely. But something in the snakes' communication strikes her as odd, and she narrows her eyes, thinking. Wolf? What wolf? Were they talking about Guide? Hmm...in any case, the situation now was, essentially, leave or die. Easy enough choice. Odd little side comments could be pondered later, in a safer place. "Guide, I really hope you can get us out of here," Lialye mutters tightly, drawing closer to Guide and the rest of the group, "because they aren't leaving us much choice, and I, for one, would much prefer to retreat now and fight later, once we're a bit more prepared." -- Lialye, 19:42:44 03/30/05 Wed
• Guide shakes her head, ‘If I open a portal, they will follow. I cannot take them to paradise. But we cannot stay here. I do not know what to do! I've been running from this foul beast for so long...I never thought what I would do if I was caught.' Guide is able to rise, but she can't stop shaking. After a while, she speaks to the snakes themselves, ‘Release the humans you have trapped. Release them, and we will leave.' She then privately speaks to you all, ‘But where do we go? I will not take these hunters back to my paradise, and I can't think of anywhere else! I can't think...where? Where do we go?' -- Fate, 11:54:05 03/31/05 Thu

  • Guide focuses on Ario's idea. 'Some place where it won't matter...Some place where they can't do harm...' While she readies herself, the snakes twist and writhe, releasing the human captive and stepping away. ((All players are now free to move, huzzah! Sorry, Chaos, that must not've been much fun for you.)) Guide's mind settles, 'This is too close...the furthest paradise there is...the furthest from the spiral...no harm...Okay. Rocks would work.' Guide begins the spell. ((Now, I would leave it there, give y'all a day to get close to her, then move on, but I'm a loser that way. You can jump through, and I'll do the rest on Spring Break---Wednesday.)) After another spell a portal opens, although it looks a bit unstable. Guide clearly didn't have clear focus. He runs like a bull (slow to get up to speed, but attempting to stop him is like stopping the ocean) and charges into the swirling vortex of uncertain safety.
