  • Mackai nodded and muttered a simple but excited "Ok." Kaleb walked over to stand by Bet. He leaned over and whispered in her ear "We got the easy job! We have a whole ocean of water right here." Kaleb said this, of course, not realizing that you can't really live off of salt water. When Perigrin walked up Kaleb glanced at him indifferently. This kid had been pretty rude and Kaleb had decided not to waste anymore effort trying to be friendly to him. Mackai, on the other hand, smiled warmly and said "Hi!"
