• While the goblins were busy shooting arrows at Halden, Haaden took the opportunity to begin climbing the rock wall nearest to her. • Halden felt somthing hit his leg, then a sharp pain flew through his body. as he clutched for his leg he was hit twice more, his vision was blured by the cloudy water and things seemed to get darker. slowly even the hazy redish water faded and all that remained was darkness. • Haaden finally reached the top of the ledge. She knew she had to hurry. Halden had jumped into the water, making himself an open target. • Haaden splashed into the pool and, upon surfacing, spotting Halden's body swam down towards it. When she had reached him she grabbed hold and hoped desperately that this 'way' led somewhere. • One arrow got lucky and struck Haaden in the side of her right thigh just before she dragged Halden into the small tunnel. Now wounded, and dragging the (um?) uncounscious Halden with her, their progress was very slow. Finally Haaden reached a fair-sized air pocket in the tunnel. • Halden coughed back into consiousness as they broke water. the air pocket was small and only had an even smaller ledge which both could sit on. • Haaden swam blindly forward in the dark. The tunnel was wide and she could only hope she was heading straight. Before she had even run out of breath the tunnel grew light and she was able to surface. She was in a cavern and there was a nice shore that they would be able to get out on. Taking another breath Haaden returned to get Halden. Her leg was bleeding profusely and she was starting to feel tired. • OOC: And boy do I feel dumb...all well. Moving on. BIC: Victim smiles at Dar, and he looks tired when he does so, "Where do you think? Where did you get yours?" He then turns away and heads inside, clearly not wanting to be followed. A few moments later he reappears climbing the mast, with something strapped to his back. Settling on the cross-beam, he slides the large object off of his back and into his lap. It's hard to see from a distance, but it appears to be a black box with some light source inside. Victim open and closes the box, causing a bright light flash each time. He appears to be doing this out of sheer boredom, and after a few minutes he stops and heads back down. He returns to the table and clears the food, then sits down on top of the table. "Right," he interrupts the other conversations, "Who wants to play a fishing game?" This fishing game was fun, but it occured to me that if I wanted the event, I shouldn't have assigned lures, I should've just had the event. • While the others selected lures and started fishing, Victim stood apart, distantly watching the sea. After a while he blinked and stopped gazing suddenly. His mouth twitching slightly, he starts to back towards the inner ship. Dar, who had been on the sea the longest, would probably spot what he was looking at, at first. The other passengers would notice shortly after. A ship, large in truth but small on the horizon, was flashing a light on the starboard side. Any glance to where Victim had been would tell everyone that he was not there anymore. He sat upon the mast once more, using his personal lamp to return light signals. The two ships were clearly communicating in a form code, although no one else could identify it at first. Victim stayed silent all the while, ignoring those around him. • Aena jusrked as a slash of water hit her face. She had fallen asleep and, lucky for her, had tumbled on to the deck instead of into the water. She yawned and streached and looked around. A light blinked from the ship. • OOC: What the devil does SI stand for, Flame? BIC: Victim barely even acknowledges Dar's arrival. He seems serene, watching the message and then replying, then waiting again. Up on the mast the wind is stronger, and it is fairly cold. Down below on deck, the ship simply appears to be coming closer, and it looks like they've put up more sails to move faster. After a short while Victim closes his lamp and climbs down without a word. Stepping on to the deck, he calls out, "My friends are coming! Let's play the fishing game later, okay? I was hpoing I could introduce you to a friend of mine, but his lure never got cast...all well, that's my fault for not sayin' anything, I guess." Victim gathers the tackle box, lures, and rods from everyone and stashes them inside. He then stands on the deck and waves, although it is now so dark that the other ship couldn't possibly see him. • Unbeknownst to the four at the dock, there was yet a fifth person in view. A young, pale-skinned girl was standing at the edge of the dock. Her raven's black hair swirled around her, tossed in the breeze. She seemed to blend in to her surroundings to perfection. Her eyes flicked from face to face--there were three people clustered around a beautiful boat, which she looked at enviously. Her eyes flicked to a newcomer, a young woman with flaming red hair.   • Flame approached the threesome but stopped when she felt eyes on the back of her neck she turned and saw a girl watching her carefully, just as she had been watching the others. After a few minutes he returns, and after making sure that most people were comfortable he sidles over to Dar, joining him at the rail. He had changed his shirt while inside, now wearing the sleevless red vest alone. It's now clear that Victim has something similar to Dar on his left bicep. A black tattoo portrays a full moon hidden behind two clouds. Victim watches the sea for a moment, occasionally glancing over to Dar, "You're lucky." he smiles weakly at last, "you got a cool lookin' lighting bolt. All I got were some flimsy clouds." • Victim fell victim to his own stupidity, and he fell into a deep sleep. By the time he awoke, it was midday, and the tide was nearly up to his neck. "Phawgh!" he leaps up, spitting sand out of his mouth. Apparently he'd rolled about in his sleep, and he was now completely covered in a hard mud. Stupid beaches! He looked down at himself. He was a small boy, no older than 14 or 15, and wore old fashioned clothing. His faded pants were well-worn and rolled up to his high calf. His reddish vest was all that covered his torso, and he kept his arms bare, save the two metallic bangles. He kept a small dagger in a waterproof sheath, where it was easy to reach. He rubbed his thumb over that idly now, looking at his surroundings. Now then, what was he supposed to do...? -- Victim?, 15:56:12 01/16/05 Sun
• Aena loved the smell of the beach. It was a salty smell, but she loved it. She walked in the water for awhile, the walked along the beach. She picked up a pretty shell and put it in her pocket. • Victim laughs and kicks a few waves at Aena. He casts a casual glance outwards, towards the open sea. He stops moving and squints his eyes, staring hard at the object. He looks terrified, "Oh no..." without another word, he swims hard towards the person. Victim is clearly an advanced swimmer, as he reaches the person within a minute, and manages to drag them (wood and all) back to shore without looking hindered. During the return trip he tries to wake the person up, "Hey, hey! What happened? You with us? Hey! We didn't crash, did we?" He gets a closer look at the clothes, "Oh. You may not be a member..." BIC: The boy (I guess you probably would've figured this out as you dragged him ashore) was wearing baggy pants rolled up around the calfs and a loose white shirt that laced up near the neck. He stirred slightly when hearing a voice but remained in a state of semi-consciousness. He appears to be roughly fourteen. A silver chain peeks out from the top of his shirt and a medalion of interlocking squares can be discerned through the wet shirt. The boy's sleeves have been rolled up to above the elbow and on his right fore-arm there is a black brand of lightning across a crescent moon. The boy's sandy blonde hair clings to his face and as his eyes flutter open to reveal dark blue eyes turned silver in the sunlight. • 'I think it's a bit of both really. We dragons feel some emotion already but when we are conquered by a human something changes. I'm not entirely sure what as I haven't bee tamed but I've seen some of the fiercest dragons become perfectly tame after it happens.
