  • Haaden blinked and tried to look at Halden. The ring was so bright she couldn't see anything. She began to hear a rushing in her ears like that of wind. All she saw was the light, all she heard was the wind-like sound and all she felt was the coolness of the ring on her hand. As suddenly as it had started it was gone.
