S'dar dashed in, hurriedly grabbing some straps and fastening them onto Serrath's neck, hopping on and tying them down. "Ready Ser?" he asked, his voice anxious that they'd be reprimanded for their tardiness. Funny, but a day or two ago he wouldn't have minded.

Serrath twisted wildly back and forth then nodded. All well.
"Great, now run and flap!"

With a soft bugle Serrath picked up speed, heading forward, and then lifting up gently, her wings taking them 10 feet high, just as required. S'dar reveled in it, the glory of the flight, the majesty--and then it was over. With a sigh, S'dar wondered when they would continue...
