*N'tek grins broadly and shouts out to all the weyrlings* "Sorry about that everyone! I've been so busy lately, nearly forgot about training!" *He smiles* "Well, since I'm late, I'm just going to assume you've all arrived before me.... or are we missing anyone?" We dont have time. "Alright then change of plans, we'll start without any who aren't here... I can catch them up later... First things first, tack and gear. Over there underneath that ledge you'll find many sets of wherhide jackets and riding straps. Please get a set for yourself then come back over here." *he waits a moment while the weyrlings do so then continues* "Alright, first off, your wherhide jacket. This is more of a safety issue then essential tack. Your jacket helps keep you warm in between and helps with the windchill. Second, it keeps thread off of you a little longer because it's so thick. Third, it's a trademark of dragonriders and looks great so why not wear it?" *at this he grins* So anyway, just wear it." *He pauses* "Okay... onto tack, the only tack you really need are these." *he holds the riding straps up* "I want you to secure them around your dragon like so, and check with him or her to make sure they aren't too tight or loose. If they're loose, your dragon will feel as though they are rubbing uncomrfotably, if they are tight, your dragon will feel like they are squishing him or her. Anyway, once they feel right to you, and your dragon... hold tight and we wil move on, but for now, I want you all to try just that, put on your wherhidejacket, then get your riding straps set up."
