Ha ha ha! DD4me2, that part about the Scully clone just made my day :) Very funny.

As for season 9, I'm with you guys--we're not interested in another bad season of writing. I mean, lets take a look at ER--because this is what they're trying to do to the X-Files. ER has been on ten seasons (or longer?) and they have a very different cast than they did at the beginning. How did they do it? Well, it wasn't their "good, trauma stories" so to speak (referring to CC's quote "good, scary stories") but every time they've introduced a new character, they've developed their backgrounds, their personalities, until we don't mind when Clooney, Nurse Hathaway, Kellie Martin, or that blonde doctor, and so many more, have left. We now are interested in Kovach, etc etc. And that's why ER can rotate their cast and still stay extremely popular.

This season, poor Doggett has no more personality than a tree toad. But it's not RP's fault--not at all. In fact, it looks like RP really struggles to give life to his character, even though the lines he has to speak are bland, boring, and don't reveal very much to his character at all. Doggett, as a character, has been all over the place this season, swinging from believing to not believing, on Scully's side, then questioning her. It's ridiculous.

So CC wanted to tell his 'good, scary stories' this season. And where does Mulder end up in all of this? Forgotten...collecting dust in his own desk drawer. We know good and well Scully would never ever act like that, but the blame goes totally to the writers. The storyline of season 7 had a great chance for survival in the eigth season, but it was done all wrong, and now this phile doesn't trust CC or the writers anymore, but I desperately want to.

I love the show, and it's just terrible how they're butchering this season. And I feel bad for the Lone Gunmen spinoff--season 8 is getting us far from excited about tuning in anymore, and its a shame. And I agree, Friday's are about the worst day to put a show--I never watch Friday TV.

Of course, have you seen the promo pic for DeadAlive? Teena is *still* spelled wrong...
