It's not like they fired David Duchovny; he quit. I think your anger is misplaced. Personally, I like John Doggett's character and I'll at least give Season 9 a chance. Don't get me wrong, I liked Mulder very much and I'll miss his character on the show but just because he has left doesn't mean the show is over. I'll agree that the plot lines from last season, especially the early ones, left something to be desired but towards the end, they did get better.
