Character Description-Welcome the Rujif, but slightly altered.....
Name: Rivis

Age: 252
Description: The black on black rarity. The only Rujif to have a twin. Black horns, black spikes, black claws, black fangs. The pink tongue seems out of place. His fur is a deep black. He seems like the absence of light. He's 9' tall and his tail is five feet long, ending in a very large mace. His left horn was sheen off in a fight. Now a black metal alloy is attached where his horn failed him, but it will never be as strong. His horns have five ivory white bands around them. The underside is encrypted with a name. All have a name except on strange band. It is blood red and it's underside has nothing on it. He knows its meaning.
Personality: He's pretty quiet, friendly to those in need of a friend or looking for assistance, but overall a good black knight. His instincts to fight have tromped along for the ride as well.
History: A Ktalian, then a Terolian and now he's here...

Description: White on white on white. An albino beast with oddly out of place black bands on his horns. He has three on each, four less than his brother. The mysterious red band is there as well. He's just as large as his brother.
Personality: A little more apt to make friends, he helps when he's needed and fights when it's needed. Not much in the way of wanting anything for himself but a little peace.
History: Same as his brother

Minimum Height at Shoulder: 6'5"
Maximum Height at Shoulder: 9'
Fur Coloration: The most common are two colored, then one color, then three colors. They can be any shade of blue, green, red, brown, black or white except for neon like colors. Burnt orange is acceptable, but no purple. Absolutely not. One colors going from comon to rare: Black and white, brown to light brown, red to light red, green to light green, and blue to light blue.
Bone/Horn/Spike Colorations: Their entire skeletal frame is either black or white. White is the dominant gene and black is uncommon, but sometimes occurs. Another occurance is grey, but it's exceptionally rare.
Rare Colorations: All black pelt and black horns, or all white with black horns.
Aging/Life Expectancy: They reach adults at the age of 250; however they're able to fend for themselves withing the first 15 years of their lives, and the average lifespan is until about 300. The oldest ever was about 314...
Species Description: They're quadrupeds with dense skeletons but ample moving ability. Their heads are like a wolf's head put on a massive scale. The snout is a bit longer, but more thickly set. Their fangs could put holes into steel. They have two pairs of incisors, one of which protrudes slightly from under their lips. Three different, connected bones make up their lower jaw and they have two rows of teeth that get replaces as often as they lose them. They're omnivorous, having blunter teeth in the back of their jaw, but rarely must they ever resort to eating leaves if they don't want to. They have sharp vision that has a larger range than humans. They see more infared than humans, adapted to seeking out heat from prey. Due to a chemical gene implanted into them by the creatures that altered them their eyes are all one color: either brown, black, deep red or deep blue. Pointed ears are a bit short and are hidden under curled horns. They resemble ram horns, only larger and more dense. As a result their hearing should be slightly echo like and muddy, but longer hairs on the insides of their ears aid with picking out sound and clearing the echo created by the horns. Rujis have a short, thickset neck and broad shoulders. Their legs are reasonably long and they're seven toed, with sandpaper-like pads on the bottoms of their feet. Their claws are retractable and are about two to three inches long. They tend to wear them down a bit, so they're constantly growing. They're barrel-chested and built for endurance with three hearts, one surprisingly close to their brain while the other two are close to their lungs. Their rib cage is not completely jointed together like a humans. Each rib is connected by a modified ball and socket joint; their lungs are surprisingly stretchy. With the joint and their lungs they can manage to take in air and double their air capacity if it's necessary. It's needed for those desperate times when the water is deep and you're a bit dense and won't get to the surface very quickly. Under the They're back paws have six toes with equally long and forever growing claws. Since they're tall, they're also quite long. Without their tails, about 6 to 7 feet from nose to the base of their tail. Their tail resembles a mace. It's about 4 to 5 feet long and muscled, with a spiked ball on the end. It's rare that a spike breaks, but if they do it does not grow back. At a young age their tail and neck learn to hold the weight of the already formed horns and spikes. They have a combination of short and long hair. It's short around their muzzle, eyes and horns, and gets a bit longer everywhere else.
Statistics: Guess what, they're faster. They can run at 60 mph, stretching themselves out to increase the distance they go. They can still carry up to and over a ton on their backs.
Species Temperment: They've grown more intelligent, with a wider range of speech and knowledge. They feel they do not need weapons, but can comprehend most of them. Flight is comprehendable but most likely will not be achieved any time soon. They're quite comfortable on the ground. THey still have the strong desire to fight, but without alot of the hostility. Most are relatively friendly and fiercely loyal to their friends. Deadly enemies to those who cross them. More wolfish in their ways than anything, they live in packs and hunt in packs and are very family oriented. It is rare to find a loner, although they tend to come in pairs. They are naturally inquisitive and like learning new things. No matter how boring...
Extras: Males are a slight bit larger, but not by much. Females are faster, inreflex and speed, but have less endurance. Males are somewhat slower, but can last longer in fights. Not originally the main sentient race on their planet, they were used like a miz between Earth canines and equines. As pets, but mainly for hunting purposes. Slowly, they were bred more for fighting purposes as their world came under attack. Inbreeding led to open hostility and one by one Rujis (plural, drop the f and add s) began turning on the owners, the Aliks. With much of the Alik race wiped out by war and their own pets, it left room for the evolution of Rujis into a semi sentient race. Still not up to their full sentience (that will occur about 900 years from now) they use short names, about 5 letters or shorter. Rujif have adorned their horns with bands: ivory for those with black horns or onyx for those with white horns. It stands for battles won.
