My proposal is to rename it Omineca, after a mountain range up near the BC, Yukon line. You have to admit, Omineca is a much snazier sounding name than British Columbia! Think about it, when British Guiana first went on its own from Britain, they weren't going to keep that name were they? Personally, I think they could have done better than Guyana, but they made the effort to change it. It is long overdue for BC to do likewise.
