Dear Sir,

I was born in Halifax, N.S. on the 19th of January, 1969. I lived in Canada until the spring of 1989. I had to leave, due to being harrassed by various elements of Canadian society for my anti-Royalist views. I didn't leave Canada by choice, I was politely forced out. Returning to Canada would be dificult for me, as I am pretty much blackballed to the point where I simply could not make a living there. Getting a job would be totally impossible for me, due to the fact that every job I ever held in Canada ended on a sour note, due to the political views I have held over the years.
In conclusion, I am still considered to be a Canadian citizen legally, however, I would not be welcomed back in Canada. My wife is an American, but my marriage to her does not qualify me to be an American citizen. Basically, a final decision on what my citizenship status will ultimately be is up in the air right now.
