Subject: No funciona el VCO

Tengo armado el Canto3, pero mi VCO no funciona, el cristal que estoy usnado es de 20MHz, he verificado con el osciloscopio la oscilacion del cristal y este no esta oscilando, cuando cambio el cristal de otro valor digamos 4MHz el cristal funciona perfectamente, el pic que estoy usando es le PiC16C54C, el cual esta configuraddo para trabajar en modo HS, en algunos catalogos he visto que hay cristales del tipo serie y paralelo, por favor quisiera que alguien me dijiera que tipo de cristal debo de usar
