I don't have the schematics but noticed
that Sanyo, Sharp and other brands use
the same mechanisms and circuit boards
made in China and Korea. Maybe your VCR
is similar to the one I have.

In my case, the blue screen is generated
by a chip 12BK83(?). You can cut it out and
let the video pass through. Video arrives
at pin 17 (i think) and leaves at the 15,
to a emiter-follower transistor. The only
problem is, you loose the on-screen display
but you can reconnect it when the 3c is Ok.

PS: I soldered a 10uF cap to the tip of an
RCA cable and used my TV monitor to follow
the video signal from the tuner onto the last
stage, until I found the origin of the b.screen.
