Well Natalie, as a video production professional, my advice is if you want a professional video produced, hire a professional. It's similar to cooking, if you were having an important dinner event and wanted to serve "chef-quality" meals, would you go out and buy expensive ingredients and do it yourself or hire a caterer.
Going to school or taking a class will help some, but to produce a professional video that people will pay good money for requires the skills and talents of a number of different individuals, each with years of experience. If you have a couple of years to spend learning production techniques, producing a variety of programs, and learning valuable lessons along the way before producing your "unique business idea", then by all means go for it. Video production is an extremely interesting and fun industry to work.
I hope I'm not coming across as an ass here, I'm not trying to say you can't produce your own project. But it does require more expertise than "camcorder experience". You should be able to find a competent company or independent producer in you area to work with or at least talk your project over with to help you with the details.
Hope this helps
