I think it's time for the government to get off their duffs, stop squabling, and do the right thing for U.S. Military retirees. We put in long hard years with many a hardship and served our country well only to be denied what we have earned. I don't think a Purple heart makes one persons missing limb any more service connected than someone that may have had a State side, on the job injury. It saddens me to see how the service connected disabled vets are treated. I was a mechanic for 20+ years in the Air Force and also for a few years after retirement. My pain got so bad that I had to take a desk job. Other government officials upon retirement get the pay concurrently. Come on House, Senate, and Mr. President, do what is right for your Vets.
