Subject: new bird help

Hello there, Im Ana. (Im 14) Me and my folks are planning to purchase a cockatiel and Im one to do the research. (obviously) Im looking at all sorts of sites and reading hours worth of artciles to make SURE the little guy will be as happy as a Daisy when he arrives. I just have one question, What should be readily available and waiting for the little guy before he arrives home? Is there anything I might have missed besides food and water and a nice roomy cage with a few toys?

p.s.do you know some good bird sites I can look at? If so email me please. (Im very dedicated to making this bird happy)
