Your bird is very young, at about 4-6 months it will have its first molt, it sounds like a pied, if this is true it will loose its pied colors at first molt and be grey, if the crest at this time has a lot of yellow, its face is yellow with brite orange spots, then you have a male,,,, i would suggest now you start to change your birds diet to pellets for best nutrition and use seeds as candy for rewards, you can find many good articles online on how to switch your bird to pellets, seeds are not the best diet for your bird, also your bird is young enough to be introduced to some good variety of foods, veggies, eggs, ect,,,, your bird is still too young to talk, but start your training now,,,,,,,, at about 5 months your bird will surprise you and start repeating words you repeat to him now,,, just have patience and get to know your bird, you have a great age bird there, babies are always fun,,,,,,,, good luck
