NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! don't ever do that, many birds are injured in this way, vets do not do that to check the sex of the bird, they do blood tests, first off that method does not work on young birds, a female has had to already of been laying age to diffrienciate, the easiest way is color, if you have a grey, or if you have a pied then wait till first molt and color again will tell you, never ever use even the slightest of pressure on your birds bones,,, this is a myth and only a professional can really judge this way, and even then an honest one will tell you its a fifty fifty chance its correct and by the time the bird is old enough to tell its colors have already told you its sex unless its a latino,,,, and the surest way on latino's are the sexing tests involving blood tests,,,,, please never apply pressure on your birds small bone structure,,, very bad advice
