Subject: Lord Lye-Onitron strained not so much to hear...
In reply to: Senator Hegemon 's message, "Hegemon stood up and approached one of the maps on the table." on 07:22:36 02/05/02 Tue

...but in control of the anger that was bubbling up inside of him. His vision blurred with red wrath and his ears throbbed. Impossible to hear the surprisingly sensible ideas that the fool Hegemon was proposing.

All he heard were Embyr's words reverberating in his processors....echoes in his mind. He tried to consider this from several angles. Why would Embyr bring up portaling devices used in secret at such a public meeting? What could she benefit by revealing such information? What could be the logical reasoning process involved in dropping one of the Council's biggest secrets? Was this a ploy?

Lye-Onitron could hardlyfathom why, but he fumed that she dropped this incredible advantage on the table before he was able to do anything with it. Such a bit of information would most surely result in the Council being locked down, their movements being restricted...or at the least, some sort of leash around their figuritive necks...

...and any potential leverage that I may have gained with such information is nigh lost...

She speaks of unity but her words automatically instill discord and anarchy. She speaks about avoiding Decius's weapon-usage proposal but in the same breath drops the technology of portaling. She speaks of everyones ideas being flawed and in her own presentation she...wait...

Can she realy hate the human this much? Denarius, via young Alex, obviously has ties to the Council, but to let this bit of information slip...could it have been out of...sheer hatred?

He knew that the decepticons were formidable enemies in the past and now he considered the extent of their strength. Not so much in their subtleties but perhaps in their complete overpowering force of will.

I may have overestimated your cunning, dear Embyr, but I have completely underestimated the depth of your hatred

Lord Lye-Onitron casually looked up and panned the room to try to guage reactions. Embyr's face was like granite...unreadable and cold. Hegemon was still standing looking at the map from different angles as if to draw some extra bit of information.

He stood.

Fellow Senators, it is with great sorrow that I must bring up the fact that the portaling devices are highly unstable and potentially as bad as the transwarp technology I had mentioned earlier. Remember, I suggested such things as a last resort and Embyr herself has mentioned the dangers of such options. Let us leave the councilors with their experimental technology while we decide other things.

Here Lye-Onitron made sure to make eye contact with Denarius. Know this Denarius, the rusted-hag Embyr may have shown her hand, but I keep my own counsel clouded in secrecy.

It appears that Good Decius and Myself are in agreement. I find that Hegemon has also found himself agreeing. We stand and fight, but we need more information. I add my vote to Decius', Embyr and Hegemon's sensible proposition. Let us send a Sphere and also, let us send a councilor to Unicron's Head to see what can be found via his technology.

All in favor?
Lye Onitron raised his hand as did Hegemon.

I will take the duty of notifying a councilor myself if you find it more expedient to be done this way Lye-Ontron bowed. Forever your servant. and took his chair with one last cursory glance at Embyr. Know this you rusted crone...you reveal buried secrets, you become a buried secret.

Such is life...
