Subject: COL Gibson's Election to Hall of Fame

Congratulations on the selection to the Hall of Fame for Distinguished Band Conductors. I was fortunate to attend several concerts while living in Laurel in the early 90's and the Army Field Band is the best.

If I can be of any assistance in adding Chester Whiting to the Hall, please Email me.

My brother David is currently stationed at Ft. Meade and my daughter Sherry is living in nearby Herndon. I hope they can attend the August concert. I really want my daughter to know the thrill that I grew up with of hearing one of the greatest musical groups ever.

I was a member of the 1st Combat Infantry Band of 1945. I would like to know if George Whiting is related to Chester E. Whiting who was the Director of the Band in 1945. I too would like to see him elected to the Hall of Fame for Distinguished Conductors. Maybe it has already happened because I have just become aware of this website.
