The Scream Of An Angel

One lonely scream is all that is left
Of a night that lives on in infamy
A horrid evening of blood drenched rage
A passionate embrace with his evil destiny
A morbid fascination with the nether world
And a soul that was tainted deadly black
He dropped his heart in the hands of Satan
Knowing there was no way to turn back
For on this night life had no meaning
The sacrifice was all that was on his mind
He has laid this child of sanctified purity
Upon such terribly unholy grounds
Innocence was needed for a christening of untainted blood
It would bring his soul safely into Satan's domain
He raised the dagger high above his head
Begging for his soul to be consumed in flame
And with a mighty plunge he pierced her heart
The scream of an angel was heard throughout the town
As the blood flowed forth from this sacred temple
Coating in red tinged innocence this unhallowed ground
At twelve midnight on the bewitching eve
The last bit of life flowed from her veins
The scream died upon her sweet lips
And a beautiful smile replaced the look of pain
A mist filled the room as Satan came
He was taking what he knew to be his
And with a burst of ethereal flame
The poor soul learned all of what Satan is
Every Halloween at the bewitching hour
Once again that lonely scream is heard
But it is not the scream of an angel this time
It is the sound of the wrath he incurred
