She looks at her sister calmly, having a feeling she knows what's wrong with her. She is leaving herself. Tira has called for her; it's their time, and they both know it. They will face this last fight of life together, as they've met all the others. Montana had lived her life in silence, and so would she leave the pack, but the sight of her sister held her back. She had always been closer to RiverSong than most of her other brothers and sisters, of course except Tira. She had to say goodbye, so she walked over on stiff, old legs.
"Sister." The word is just a whisper, from a wolf that has been silent so long talking feels wrong. The old female looks into the eyes of her little sister, and her own old ones glow with a spark of love and warm care you thought would be long gone. Montana nuzzles RiverSong one last time, and takes a step back. "Goodbye... for now." She then leaves the pack, heading for Golden Rain.
