Hitting might be the weakest point of a really good team of players. Very few people really know how to teach hitting. If the player is waiting on the perfect pitch, it might be the first one. If I am coaching and the other team is taking the first pitch, we will throw a strike. That leaves the batter with only a 66% chance of getting a hit. Then you will see the pitches that are close to the plate and hard to drive anywhere.
