I totally understand your situation. My son is preparing for deployment to Iraq. This is not an easy time and so many thoughts have gone through my mind. I live in Albuquerque, NM and my son is stationed at twenty-nine Palms, CA. I am so proud of him, but on the same level I am scared to death of what outcome this could all have. I believe we need to go in and get rid of Sadam and BinLaden and get our Marines home and safe. I am confused and feel so alone, but I know there are many other mom's out there going through the same thing. If you have answers on how to deal with this situation,I would love to hear them.

>>Please be strong for your son. He is doing something he believes in and he is proud to do. This is the time he needs your support and love. Let him know you are behind him 100%. My son has only been a Marine for a yr. now and I'm so proud of him. When I have a hard time I think of the song "Proud to be an American" That was played at the pinning during graduation. It was one of the proudest monents of my life as well as my son's. My son is in the reserves and is still at home but has been on alert for several months. I pray every day for him and all our boys to be safe. This is the time we need to be there for them. I know it is hard but he is counting on you as all these men are counting on there loved one to give them the support they need and deserve.
Be strong and be proud of your Marine!
