My Dearest Brother,

We have all...admittedly or not...had questions. Not so much in a matter of faith, but in what mankind has done to the Scriptures to make us doubt. I hope this helps ease your soul and those of your sheep. May the Spirit guide my hands...

First, one must remember that the Gregorian and Julian calendars do not match at all. Time becomes a mishmash when trying to convert the two. This explains your questions of timing.

As to why some things are mentioned in some Gospels and not in others...remember that King James had a field day with the Scriptures, throwing out much that did not suit the whim of ecclesiatial society at the time. Let me say this about that: I do not believe, to my very soul, that God would allow the destruction or loss of anything in His Word that is necessary for our salvation. We know that we are to love the Lord God with all our hearts, minds, and souls, to believe and be baptized in the name of the Son; and to love our neighbors as ourselves. As the Scriptures themselves say, this is the heart of the Law. All the rest is merely commentary.

...And, you are right !! A wicked and adulterous generation seeks to qualify their sin by twisting the Word. That having been said, however, how many are the times when you have read the same verse at different times and had it speak to you in a different way every time? The Word is alive and the Lord interprets it to your heart in the way that He needs you to. This is not to say that it does not mean something else, perhaps, in a different situation..only that the Lord is speaking to your heart in a way that you receive what is good and glorifies His Name at that time.

Someone of a secular nature once told me...and I listen to all no matter their station, for there is evil...and wisdom...in all of us...that he believed that "preordination" was still incumbent upon our will. The old "lady or the tiger" routine in which there is a fate behind each door...but YOU have the choice as to which door to open.

As an example...recently my boss started talking about Sylvia Browne, the so-called psychic on the Montel Williams show. My boss said she believed that God sent 'psychics' to us because God couldn't be everywhere. I listened to this, then thought to myself, "You know...I could let that comment fly by, or I can take this opportunity to witness and take whatever consequences as they come".
I told her that if my God was not the Omnipotent that He says He is, having power over life and death itself, not only would He be a liar but my faith...and indeed, my life...is worth nothing. She made no comment but at least I know I gave her food for thought. I do not know whether that thought might eventually help save her soul.

Do not feel ashamed and worthless because you have had this moment of doubt. Our Lord was human enough that His fear for His mortal life caused Him to sweat drops of blood ! Who could understand better our moments of doubt and fear? Indeed, that is why He was put upon this earth.

I hope you will pray over this messageand it will bring peace to your heart. Please let us know how you are doing, and may God bless you !
