Sister Sandra,

Please pardon me if you felt I was accusing you of "demonizing" the KJB or " setting yourself up as a biblical scholar" I simply made the comment to correct a historically incorrect statement that has been repeated over and over, that is that somehow, some way, in some fashion King James personally tampered with the text of the scripture. That simply is not true. King James' major issues were not with the "original" text or even with translations that followed other than one...that was the Geneva Bible. Even then the major objection was NOT with the text but with the MARGINAL NOTES. He thought some of these threatened the power of the king so of course he wanted them removed. Beyond that there were to be NO major changes in the text simply a revision of those already in existence, and marginal notes were only to be added to make the Hebrew or Greek words clearer. Or to provide alternate reading where alternate reading were correct as indicated by the copies of the original texts.
If you will check a reproduction of the Authorized Version of 1611 you will see that is what was done. Compare that with the several thousand marginal notes in a reproduction of the Geneva. You will see a considerable reduction the the amount of notes...NOT THE TEXT... THE NOTES.

Now, modern man has turned back the clock and you will find all kinds of "study bibles" out there...once again we have the opinions of man added to the sacred text of Scripture...i.e. The Scofield Study Bible, Ryrie Study Bible, Life Application Bible, Liberty Annotated Study Bible etc...the additions may be "helpful" but they ARE NOT Scripture...unfortunately some folks don't know that...after all it is in the bible!!!

The real corrupters of Scripture are a couple of fellows named Wescot and Hort; who when working on a revision of the 1611 KJB...in which the committee for revision was instructed to MAKE AS FEW changes as necessary. Wescott and Hort managed to trick the committee into accepting an entirely new translation of the New Testament...their's!!!
Read Dean Burgon's book The Revision Revised...he shows how this was done and why it was wrong...and...he is not a "KJB only" person. Practically ALL of the modern versions New Testament are based on the "translation"
of Wescott and Hort... and they deviate greatly from copies of the Greek originals available at that time.

In the Book of Exodus I read that God WROTE the Ten Comandments on tablets of stone. Why did He need to write them if we don't need the written Word of God...aka.. the Bible? Jesus told the devil, " man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God"...how can we live by it if we don't know what it is and how can we know what it is if it isn't written down for us to read? Voices? Signs? Wonders?. True, we can know from nature that there is a Creator, a God, but...how can we know what that God wanted if He hadn't saw fit to write it down. Our assignment from Him , if you will, is to read it and obey it, not to question its truth or if we need it....If He didn't think we needed it...He wouldn't have inspired men to write it and preserve it over thousands of years.. so that when a question comes up we don't have to find a seer...prophet...priest..or shaman...or consult with Sylvia Brown...all we have to do is ask ourselves "what saith the Scripture"...then go to them and read them and find out what GOD says...." seek ye out of the Book of the Lord and read."

I am "KJB only"...many years of study and experience with other "versions" brought me to this position. If you or any of the other readers of this post are not...then read and prayerfully ...study...and be guided by what the Holy Spirit is leading you to believe in your heart IS the Word of God. I am not requiring you or asking you...or trying to convince you to stand with me...or saying you will be condemned to the flames of hell if you don't...stand with the leading of the Holy Spirit of God...He will lead you to the truth.. not through "voices" but through His written Word...the Holy Bible.

Again Sister Sandra... and any other readers...please accept my apology if I sounded like I was accusing you of some kind of evil...if you are not "KJB only." That was certainly not my intention.
