Apparently I have missed or misunderstood something somewhere along the line. I have never found anywhere in the scriptures where Jesus, His disciples, or the Apostles addressed the Christian God as "Allah"...neither have I found any of the Ancient Church Fathers addressing Him as "Allah." When Jesus answered the disciples request to teah them to pray He began with "Our Father" NOT dear Allah! I assume from this that Jesus intended us to address our God as "Father" so that is what I intend to do. The Bishop can do what he wants but.....a very brief study of Islam and Christianity will show that the attributes and characteristics and character of the Christian God is very different from the character, attributes, and characteristics of Islam's Allah. An old-time preacher once said...things that are different...are NOT the same...so why would anyone want to give them the same name? Oh....we must be politically correct...even if spiritually wrong. I don't care if "linguistically "Allah" is interchanged with "god" in the case of the being they are referring to they are NOT the same. Guess I am being simplistic rather than linguistic. I agree with Sis Sandi.

Also, most Jewish writings refer to " God" as Adonai...feeling that YHWH or " The Name" is too Holy to speak aloud

Grace and Peace,
Carl
