It is important to understand that the larger denominations have a system of giving and keeping their ministers accountable in some way, many times this includes some sort of financial seed and yearly report of what the minister is doing. The denominations do this to satisfy legal requriements as well as keep accountability in their own ranks.
I will say this, I have been through UCMI's ministry register and have visited a number of the websites people have listed, and a number of which turned up to be some new age movements which actually defile God's name and the diety of Christ. I highly doubt these folks are giving yearly accounts and sowing back into the ministry which ordained them. I am thankful that Brother Steve is taking the steps necessary to keep UCMI a viable organization with integrity and sound doctrine to share the light of Christ in a darkened world. Now, this is not to say those who are not giving are automatically in this category of new age, I myself had not given for quite a while and was convicted to do so even though I am not currently utilizing my ordination.
With that said, I know UCMI is an independent ministerial organization and does not necessarily follow the guidelines of what we would consider a "denomination", but accountability is being put into place to keep UCMI a viable ministry to reach those for Christ. I would much rather see UCMI have 300 ministers who are active in supporting the ministry and holding themselves accountable to their ordaining body and covenant they agreed to when being ordained than to see 3,000 ministers, 98% of which are not in agreement, simply by the act of not fulfilling their requirement to annual accountability and financial support. This statement, though harsh it may sound, has given me deeper conviction even as I write. I am thankful for the ministry of UCMI and pray for all it's ministers and our "Pastor's Pastor" Brother Steve. Thanks for putting up with my meanderings :)

In Christ,
Pastor Aaron
