Bob,
I have been looking into emerging for about 2 years now. I see that there is some very great things comng from ourt of the values that are being explored, and some great misinformantion from many who are 'anti'. Some claim it is a liberal movement, yet have found that not so, it seems to transend politics and allows for an openess for dialog and conversation with other believers outside our own 'group' and also allowing those who do not know or are seeking Christ to enter into the conversation and find a relationship with Christ. (In emerging we look at coming to Christ as a conversation rather that just a line in the sand).

I have personally found that the values expressed seem to be many of the same vaues we share here as far as 'unity' and doing the work of Christ. I see that there is an openess that is beyond the denominational barriers and have found great friends in many different denominations.

I have found that evangelicals are mostly seeing the effect, yet it crosses every tradition.
