Brother Andrew,

Thank you for the post.

I would clarify that the premise of the writing was not focussed on the "body" predominately, becuase as you know there are many wounded, unsaved, and varied members in a church..(hopefully unsaved are coming:) ) This however was speaking from..a pastoral view, regarding the state of many churches as the leadership has sucomn to the idea that it is more crucial to please everyone by trying to neutralize the Word etc. Than speak forth the "truth" in love.

I have to say I take your term salty as a compliment, although I know your heart and meaning. I would gladly take being addressed as saltly in an envirnment where many of our churches have lost their salt, hidden their light under a bushel, and compromised the passion of his presence for appropriateness and protcol.

I will however make this clarification.

My Comments, and views are not neccesarily those of UCMI or its leadership and are soley my own. Pardon my lack of ability to say this any other way but, Respectfully? I don't care what Calvin said, I care what Jesus said..and we had "better" be able to tell the difference in who is who!

Much like water. The reason you can't tell the difference between hot and cold, is when it is luke warm. "Jesus" said,
if you are luke warm I will spit you out of my mouth.

Again I respectfully submit, Speaking in "love" is when you care more about ones eternal life than their opinion of you for speaking that truth into their life. In the world today, true "Love" has been dilluted into tolerance of compromise of God's Word, the lie that love is acceptance of "whatever" ones deal is. That it is more about feeling than truth. People are being nurtured right to hell in a cozy cumfy pkg. that the enemy is seducing the church to buy into. Personaly I am a tender hearted guy, my family would call me a softy, but when it comes to peoples eternal life.. the Word of "God"..is our standard.

In that day many of you will say Lord Lord, didn't we prophecy in your name, and he will say go from me for I never knew you. Should I offend 100 that one not go to hell I would take the risk, it is not for lack of love, but for the passionate presence of such.

God bless you!

Rev. Mark McManus
