OH, Brother Mark, you are SO right, and I must admit I was humbled by your post at the start of this thread. Not all who say "Lord, Lord" will come into His Kingdom. I think we have all been guilty of trying to temper the Word so that it does not become too harsh a pill for a sheep to swallow; so my eye offends me and I must pluck it out.

The Word is steadfast and unchanging. It is we who attempt to qualify it, not the Lord...and we do so to justify our sins before Him. Yet to whom much is given (in this case the gift of the Gospel), much will be required...and should we cause any of these to fall astray, better that the heavy millstone be tied about our necks and we are cast into the sea. I admit it's a fine line in combating evil where we find it, since many who sin are ignorant of it. If we, however, allow them in their ignorance to remain in that sin, then we are guilty as well.
