Subject: Six Steps to Excellence of Ministry

I. Dedication - A Decision, not a feeling
a. 2 Timothy 2:20-21 It is available to every believer to become a vessel of honor.
b. Decide to please the Father (1 Corinthians 10:5; Hebrews 3:17)
c. Decide to live in victory
d. Decide to live the love life.

II. Singleness of purpose (James 1:5-8)
a. Your goal is to meet the needs of the people.
b. Receive (Mark 16:15-20).

III. Leadership of the Holy Spirit
a. Decide to be led by the Spirit through the Word - not by the natural.
b. Lean not to your own understanding.

IV. Strip away everything else. (John 17:17 "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

V. Look to the Word day and night (Proverbs 4:20-23; Joshua 1:8).

VI. Spend much time in prayer and fasting. Put prayer first (1 Timothy 2:1). Your time is no longer yours.
