Dear Brother in Christ, I would chance to say there are many who have experienced the same or similar issues or concerns you are now experiencing. May I address the concern in feeling God's presence:

God could instantly give you feelings or signs each time you seek him for guidance, however, Your faith must be in the Word of God, not in varied feelings of His presence.
If God gave some sort of sign or feeling each time you sought Him, it may soon become the putting of your Faith in the signs versus in Him and His Word. Keep the Faith in our Holy Brother and His Word.

In the questioning of your Faith, Belief, and Salvation, may I suggest going to the Holy Scriptures to John 20: 24-31 and put to rest your doubts by believing and using your Faith.

In addressing should you take a step backwards and do other things while waiting upon the Lord. May I suggest, step forward in the Lord while letting Him guide your steps.

I ask that you also think and Pray about your initial question. Is it Ministry burnout or is it questioning your calling, or are you looking for more as His Servant, or are you concerned that perhaps the results of your Ministry may or may not be what you expect versus what God expects?

Keep the Faith Brother.
