Subject: DON'T DISTRESS; IT'S NOT YOUR HOTEL

Did you find yourself getting caught up in the heated political stuff before the election? If not, praise God..however I have to admit that I found myself quite empassioned on a number of things. So what does this have to do with anything? This World is not our home!

Did I vote? Sure. Do I watch the news? Yes especially international as I am a student of escetology. However, one thing that the Lord showed me in quiet reflection after Christmas, in pondering the new year was this.

A. I you are moving to a dream home in a paradise, but you have to do a couple days lay over in a nice beach front hotel, you have to remember, that the hotel is not home!

B. It may be nice; it might have many activities, and even things to get involved in, but we should not get so caught up or distressed that we forget that this is not our home, and the Lord's return is nearer each day.

C. I need to strive for excellence in whatever the Lord puts in front of me, so as to be a witness of His Kingdom while Im here. One day, we will leave this place and not only reside in heaven, but he promises to make a new earth as it was in the begining.

The hotel stop over is OK but I've got our eternal home on my mind. How about you? Everything that is unwinding politically, economically, internationally, is simply as the Lord allows, that His Word will come to pass. Don't fret. It's all in the Word. Good news... This isn't it for us..Amen? Take comfort and Joy, yet let it be a point of urgency... The return of our Lord, our Savior, our King, Jesus Christ..is soon at hand. Let's be about the Lord's business with passion. I love my UCMI brothers and sisters in Christ, and pray for you, God's best in the coming year!
