Greetings Rodney,

First of all be comforted; Your challenge with the academic clergy is not limited to us within UCMI. Sadly there are those within the "religious" community who lean more on the seal of a sheep skin, than the seal of the Holy Spirit. Know this.

a. Ones academia does not give them authority in the Kingdom of God. The Word of God in Christ Jesus gives one authority in the Kingdom of God.
b. We have to remember that as time goes on, true believers and those who stand on the Word of God, will get just as much if not more judgment from the apostate church than it will the unsaved.
c. Although we are not to be conformed to this world, we are called to be in it. Although we are not called to be unequally "yolked" with unbelievers we are called to be with them, love them, meet them where they are at in their lives.

For me, I had to sit down a get some clarity on a couple of things in ministry. Hope this helps.

Within my calling as a minister of the gospel how does the Lord want "me" individually to walk that out?
Is the gifting and anointing He has given me that of Pastor, Prophet, Evangelist, Teacher, Preacher. ? For me it has been that of a Teacher and Prophet. (CAUTION CLARIFICATION) I'm not talking about like those false prophets running around trying to foretell the future events etc. The gifting of a prophet is simply an anointing to.. for a lack of better words stand a declare IT IS WRITTEN! and in the gifting of prophecy simply confirm, to individuals what the Lord has already been convicting them of in their spirit. So Study the Word, Pray much, seek to understand you "Servant Leader" mantle in that area..so to speak.

Remember that you are not alone. All of us within the UCMI and more importantly the body of Christ who are indeed walking out the calling of God in Christ Jesus, are strangers to this world, because ours.. like Jesus is not the Kingdom of this world. Feed your spirit with prayer and thanksgiving in all things. note... IN ALL things :) Dig deep into the Word. It's when we get anemic that we need the deep rich meat of the Word to strengthen us.

Though we are called to be servants and wash feet, we bow our head to NO man, but only to our Lord and King Jesus Christ.

Though we are not to seek to make a reputation of ourselves, we walk in the dignity of knowing not who we are but whose...we are. YOU my brother ARE:

Righteous - You can stand confidently in right standing before Almighty God

Redeemed- You have been redeemed from the curse of the law of sin and death

Sanctified: You have been set apart, as if God was choosing only the finest diamonds, you are among them as his child.

Justified: You stand clean and washed in the blood of the lamb before the Throne of God, just...as if you had never sinned.

Ministry of Reconcilliation: Man does not determine a sanction of ministry through a religious institution God does from His Holy Word. We through obedience to His word are given a covering of accountability and care through UCMI thank God. :)

Finally my brethren be STRONG in the THE LORD.. and the POWER of HIS might. We are here for war not coffee. The lost are going to hell, and we need to Armor up, sharpen our swords, follow the Captain of our Salvation.. and be about the Lords business. You are loved Rodney. :)

United we stand one King on Lord
for the mission He's set before us.

Though the enemy strong would seek to destroy
Our Lord and King go before us.

Fear not fear not nor easily be dismayed
for the battle ground is fierce

But take your joy in remembering always
that for us His hands were pierced.

Now stand rise up, and put your Armor on
for we have much to do

That none would die and go to hell
our job is not yet through.

Arm in arm, side by side, here we make our stand
Ambassadors for Christ on the Word of God
in a strange and foreign land.
