Jah watches solemly and nodded her head, sending a silent message to the retreating Windris [As Ice Mist says, friend, you are one of us...we are all together.]
She looked at Ice Mist, "I'll go get that brother of mine, shake some sense into his rattled brain..."
She leaped upwards, beautiful pinions opening as she took to the heavens. A thermal gave her the altittude she needed to see her bother's aerie.
She also saw him sitting there and flew towardst him.
She reached him and pulled him to his feet, "Get up, fool!"
Chres snarled and brushed away from her, moving to the shallow cavern at the back of his aerie. "Go away."
She followed him back, "Get over yourself!"
He spun on her, "Get over myself?! Foolish brat!"
Jah's eyes hardened and she slapped him...hard. "I'm the one who's been living with the enemy! I'm the one who had.." She paused, and hissed, "This isn't even about me, quit trying to turn it around. This is between you and Windris!"
Chres was silent.
"Why were you like that?" Jah asked.
"Why are you being so pathetic?" he countered.
She laughed, "Pathetic? Look who's being pathetic! Chres you just stood there like a damned fool!"
Chres said nothing.
"Why? Too stubborn in your own foolishness not to figure out that she likes you!"
Chres' eyes were harsh. "I don't know, Jah, I DONT KOW! Can't you take that as an answer! Damn you!"
Jah shook her head, "Fine, sit here like a fool...you shouldn't even be a General.."
She leaped from the aerie and returned to the others, fuming.
Chres pressed his forehead against the cold stone of the cavern.
