He hissed at Hephaestus and took flight again, blood tears welling in his eyes..though for why they came he did not know. He landed halfheartedly in a sand dune and angrily ripped his gleaming white feathers from his pinions, his brow furrowed and his mouth set in a wicked smile as blood came from his now wounded wings. Like an animal he licked away the blood and then lay in the scorching hot sand, his face pressed against it, his breathing harsh now. His hands dug into the sand and he let out a scream that could mean pain or despair, the Wraith anguished by many things, only half of which he knew.
