Where did the years go? I returned "home" to the insignficant city tucked away within an insignificant lake to celebrate the birth of a mangod whom I am no longer sure ever existed. My eyes fell to the laid-open pages of my high school yearbooks and remembered what promise lay ahead, so many years ago. I ached for a return to some of the friendships that were at one point so important to me; anything to get rid of this never-yielding grey. Choked with indecision, I could no sooner dial up an old friend than I could make the necessary changes in my life to help me in escaping this damnable fog.
