It is true! I just read the LI HERALD and there is a whole story about the Ship's Inn being bought by a developer and senior housing being put there. The Village meeting had the developers there. www.LIHERALD.com

That is great.
Some many people live down there They don't need a noisy place keeping them up at night.
Thank's for letting us know.

actually, Aqua is the place that you always heard at night and the East Point. The baseball games at the Little League Park were noisier than Harry G's/Ship's Inn!

The word on the street is that the senior house will cost over 200 grand to live in plus monthly fees. This is a far cry from the assisted living that was going to be put up on the Ocean Front Marina on Front St.thanks to the nasty man who blocked it because he did not want the road going through his shack over on Front St.
Also the other words are the diner is closing so a gas station can come in. That makes 3 in a few blocks.
Our favorite anti Semitic/bigot woman is having the village sued again for her big mouth and anti Semitic remarks.
Now this is all word on the street and I don't know what is true and not. However this is the joy of living in a small town.

"Some many people live down there They don't need a noisy place keeping them up at night"

I worked at the most recent incarnation of the Ship's Inn and I can comfortably say that our neighbors where very supportive of us. We were not noisy and never even had a band unlike the surrounding establishments. From where did you base your opinion?
