All right Andy. A good day out all round really. We got into the station about 1pm and had a few drinks at the pub opposite (can't remember the name). Then we went to the Volunteer Arms just outside the ground at about 2.30. We managed to ply Rodney Rowe (injured striker) with at least four beers in there, and he and Michael Price were a good laugh.

As for the game, we seemed really comfortable and composed throughout. You were only going to win if you were top of your game and we were off form, and I don't think either of those applied yesterday.

The ground was as I expected, really. I know some City fans were worried about it, but I honestly wasn't. The Danebank was a pretty good new terrace, and I don't think the other parts were too bad. Certainly no worse than Kettering or Morecambe, and not that far behind Macclesfield or Cheltenham in places.

Biggest disappointment was the turnout from Hull - 1000 perhaps? I guess the two defeats and the big game at Luton on Tuesday put a lot of people off. Shame.

Overall, I enjoyed the trip to Northwich. Always nice to visit a new town and a decent game from our point of view too.
