Dark rimmed ears flicked back and forth, watching the interactions. He was bound to protect these two in the place of their mother, but he had no desire to agitate the two females before him. Anyone else in the pack would take a beating for snapping at either pup, but he couldn't bring himself to reprimand Ice for her over reaction, or Mist for her dominating nip. As he watched Mist, unable to read her current mood. He'd seen the sorrow, and it took all his control to hold his ground. He wanted to press himself against her side, lick her face and tug at her ear. But then she pressed against Ice, reminding him that his place was not certain.

His ears still flicking in an almost nervous manner, he settled back into a sit, watching the youngsters as they found their place with their alpha.

Lightening stepped around to sit beside Greyn, accepting her position for what it was, flexible. Thunder on the other hand, took a few stiff steps back and held his ground there. He was as suborn and pigheaded as his father, and it was unlikely anyone but said father would be able to keep him in line.
