It would seem that Mr. Y.A.N. is the one who needs to learn not only how to read scripture, but how to use it as well! The reference he gave is to a blind man whom Jesus healed. Now the misuse lies in the fact that Jesus very clearly claimed to be God on more than one occasion, and the Jews without a doubt, understood Him to be claiming to be God (John 5:18; 10:33). On the otherhand, the blind man whom Jesus healed never claimed to be God, thus Y.A.N. took this verse of scripture out of context, and misapplied it, and when Jesus refered to Himself as the "I AM" (John 8:58), it is obviously clear from scripture that the Jews understood that He was claiming for Himself the Yahwehistic title by which Yahweh revealed Himself to Moses (Exodus 3:14) and it was upon this basis that the Jews sought to stone Him in accordance with the Mosaic Law regarding blasphemy (Leviticus 24:14-16).

Thus we see a dishonest handling of scripture in an attempt to deceive people into believing a lie.
