We may have to throw out the TEACHINGS of what the Bible actually says, but we don't throw out the Bible. In our estimation you throw out the part that states Jesus is actually the Savior of the World, not just the potential savior.

We don't worship the Bible. We worship God in Spirit and in Truth. Jesus didn't say, worship ye me through the Bible. It hadn't even been wholly written (for all of ya'll who want to throw the verse of "search the scriptures").

In reading the Bible think of it as a mirror reflection as well as a standard. How you interpret it reveals your inner heart.

Jesus said: Love your enemies and you will be PERFECT like your father in heaven is Perfect.

Loving them doesn't mean respecting their freewill to the point of their death. None of us do that with our children. And some expect that God will raise our dogs to eternal life b/c we love them, all the while letting people perish in a hopeless hell. Where, I guess, either no one loves them, or have had their memories removed, or have learned to hate all of those people, as God does. God is not diabolical. If He loves them, He loves them. If they have a freewill that can truly choose, then at the point when they are to be cast into eternal hellfire, they could object and rely on their freewill at that point too.

Again how man reads the Bible reflects their own heart. God is not like us, yet we continually thrust our image onto Him, and are even warned that not to make Him like corruptible man. It is man who wants justification through reward/punishment. God's Holy judgments abound to teach the world righteousness. It's not about reading the Bible, it is about reading it with the Mind of Christ, instead of the Mind of Man. Most church builders are building unto the Kingdome of Man.

Sincerely :)
