In reply to: Babbon 's message, "ET" on 19:54:31 02/18/04 Wed

ET is a DOWNLOAD of 258 meg. ET is multiplayer only. ET wasn't advertised or had any marketing budget at all. There is no paper manuals. ET has no single player option. No use getting ET if you aren't broadband.

Just that lot would make ET viable for only a small proportion of the available player base.

You admit that it has a decent following? With that lot in mind if it was anything less than excellent it would have no following.

Do the maths, consider how games are SOLD, and think about it.

"ET wasn't advertised"

ET was advertised on every major gamesite as i recall
and still is as a free download and on most pc mags ;P

"You admit that it has a decent following? With that lot in mind if it was anything less than excellent it would have no following."

so whould you admit that because people buy halflife & bf1942 to play online that they are no less "excellent" ?
i personnaly broke my cds for bf1942 and other day halflife, and you know what i did ?, i went and re:bought them :)
anyways,,,
ive been playin online games a good 10 yrs and to dictate to people "This games rubbish n this games not" as i find it is best to let people judge for themselfs what makes a game "GOOD" or not for them,,,,

anyways to cut a long story short
you like ET i dont and we agree to disagree

group hugs all round but no slippin in the tongue.
